We are a voluntary, cross-industry and central representative body of the Bavarian economy, representing more than 160 employers' and business associations as well as over 50 supporting members.

Across the industries represented by vbw's member associations, around 4.8 million people are employed subject to social insurance contributions throughout Bavaria - accounting for almost 90% of all private-sector employees in the state.
We have been successfully using the TablePlanner since 2014, having previously worked with Excel. On a regular basis, we create complex seating arrangements for around 450 participants with assigned dining, including members of the Bavarian State Government.
The software supports us reliably and efficiently in this process.

We begin by designing the room layout with the appropriate number of tables. From a wide selection of different table types, we can choose and adjust them to the required capacity.
The seamless compatibility with Excel makes data import and maintenance straightforward. We import our registration list directly into the TablePlanner tool and then refine the data - for example by linking couples or marking designated “hosts.”
Each table is assigned a VIP guest as its “host,” around whom the seating is arranged according to specific themes.
Thanks to the drag-and-drop functionality, placing guests is intuitive and efficient. Once couples are linked, no one is overlooked, as these connections remain visible and clearly indicate that an additional person needs to be seated.
The use of visual markers and color coding further simplifies the process and supports a clear, structured workflow.

This ensures that upon arrival, each guest receives a name badge with their table number, so they immediately know where to go.
